What do you mean when you say you've never seen it? I understand the words, but don't believe it? You may call me alarmist; are you secretly Amish? Do you live in a cave? Your education starts and ends here You've got a lot to learn, but baby it's alright, I don't care if it takes all night All your years on this earth, have been a waste of time, Unless we put this right Are you ready to be initiated? Into the family, assimilated? You've got a lot to endure Is it worth the furore? Just wait til episode four Your education starts and ends here You've got a lot to learn, but baby it's alright, I don't care if it takes all night All your years on this earth, have been a waste of time, Unless we put this right Your education starts and ends here You've got a lot to learn, but baby it's alright, I don't care if it takes all night All your years on this earth, have been a waste of time, Unless we put this right Its gonna take some work, but with me by your side, We can open up your eyes I can see at first it may not seem worthwhile, But Empire will blow your mind

Edge Of Life 04:49
I know exactly what you're thinking, You hate the world and it hates you back, You see this ship we're on is sinking, So you're trying to abandon like a rat, Desolate, desperate, dying for rest from it, You regret each breath you've just no strength left for it, Now, you're standing on the edge of life, And I'm sure it's justified, But now you see the end is really nigh, And you're suddenly paralysed, Your mind was set but now it's been compromised, And you're struggling to decide, But the crowd just may have made your mind, Your inner struggle's on display now, The turmoil you face is clear to see, The question's more pertinent on the way down, Your default response is despondency, Shut out, rejected, distraught and dejected, You cry out for help, but they just do not get it Edge of life, Dead on time You missed your chance, you rue the day, You knew the answer, knew the way, You lost your grasp, you lost your faith, All that you had has gone away Desolate, desperate, dying for rest from it, You regret each breath you've just no strength left for it, Now, you're standing on the edge of life, And I'm sure it's justified, But now you see the end is really nigh, And you're suddenly paralysed, Your mind was set but now it's been compromised, And you're struggling to decide, But the crowd just may have made your mind

#goodolddays These times we live in they confuse me, I'm another victim of history, All these new and modish fads, Aren't as good as what we had, I remember when a phone was just a phone, You couldn't take it with you; it was wired to your home, When the movie finished you rewound the video, A hippo took an apricot a Guava and a mango, Back when Packham was still a punk and, Ant and Dec were PJ and Duncan, Things were good back then, In the good old days, There really wasn't an app for that, We all had simpler ways, There wasn't all of this modern crap, Now I'm discombobulated, Cos I'm more of a 90s chap These kids today they've got their Gangnam style, And relentlessly molesting Bieberphiles, It's just not really the same as, Gary Barlow and Macarenas, Back in the day I rarely ever got to see, What people I barely knew were having for their tea, We only had four channels on our TV, Ruled by Misters Motivator, Blobby and Bean, Bull Boys shoes were all we needed, We could have a thought and we didn't need to tweet it, Things were good back then, In the good old days, There really wasn't an app for that, We all had simpler ways, There wasn't all of this modern crap, Now I'm discombobulated, Cos I'm more of a 90s chap In the good old days, What the hell is a Mocha frappe?

All About Me 04:28
Before I meet you let me apologise And assure you that I recognise, My pretension, The entire nature of my chosen enterprise, Requires attempting to monopolise, Your attention, So I spend inordinate amounts of time, In pursuit of just another 'like', Validation, This is all just one big ego-trip, I'm aware of that, but I still do it, Driven by my insecurity, Never about you, it's all about me. Instinctively my ego takes precedence, And I find I strive for decadence, Relentlessly, So before I meet you let me apologise, For the inevitable countless times, I will ask for, Your approval and your acceptance, And my shameless indulgence, In self-grandeur, This is all just one big ego-trip, I'm aware of that, but I still do it, Driven by my insecurity, Never about you, it's all about me.

Just me, I’m setting my own course, So free, free to choose, I’m guided by my thoughts, Lately, I’m making my own path, A journey without restrictions, Each step could be my last, When there’s nowhere left to go, you’ve got to stop and get out, But is there nowhere left go now? If I see a fork ahead of me, Then I’ll be the one who masters My own destiny, But slowly the road becomes less clear, I feel my swagger go, I’m struck down by my fear, When there’s nowhere left to go, you’ve got to stop and get out, But is there nowhere left go now? ‘Cos when you’re making it on your own and there’s a shadow of doubt, Can you really expect to know how? I’m in control of my own destiny, It’s my life, I choose my outlook and philosophy, And I do it right, But lately I don’t know if I’m lost or free, In my own mind, I don’t know where else to go, I don’t know where else to go, I don’t know where else to go, I don’t know where else to go, When there’s nowhere left to go, you’ve got to stop and get out, But is there nowhere left go now? ‘Cos when you’re making it on your own and there’s a shadow of doubt, Can you really expect to know how?

Here's what perplexes me, I say expectantly, My imperfections are plain and clear to see, Yet still you stay by my side, I'm maladjusted, borderline neurotic Seems an injustice that you should be with me, How do you love me when I don't even love myself? How do you do the things you do and do so well? I'm so in awe of you, You're selfless, warm and true, You're sympathetic and good as good can be, In fact, you're perfect to me, I'm defective, defunct and decrepit, Yet you've elected that you will be with me, How do you love me when I don't even love myself? How do you do the things you do and do so well? How do you love me when I don't even love myself? Why do you choose me over anybody else?
